Camp "Nou thanks" as Alavés return Barça ticket allocation
The Basque club's fans are indignant at Barcelona's ticket offer: 300 at a price of 59 euros each in the heavens with a glass wall blocking views.
Fans of newly promoted Alavés are up in arms over the prices set by FC Barcelona for the Liga match between the sides at Camp Nou this weekend. Barça have allocated just 300 tickets for away fans at a price of 59 euros each, with the seats in the highest point of the stadium and behind a glass partition, obstructing the view of the pitch.
Tickets returned to Barça
The timeframe for Alavés season ticket holders to purchase their seats has already passed and hardly any have been shifted. On Monday the sale opened to the general public and the club does not anticipate any greater interest. Of the 300 tickets allocated, the majority will be returned to Barcelona by fans not accustomed to paying Primera prices.
Alavés fans to watch reserves instead
Alavés have not made an official complaint and the LFP is not going to intervene in the matter. However, Iraultza 1921, Alavés’ largest supporters’ club, has already said it will give the Camp Nou clasdh a wide berth and instead attend the reserve team match in Ibaia. The group has also launched an online petition for the same treatment to be meted out to any Barça fans wishing to travel to the Mendizorrotza for the return fixture.
