Carlo Ancelotti, a record-breaker

He’s already one of the few managers in European football to have won the continent’s biggest club competition with two different sides, winning with AC Milan in 2003 and 2007 and then again with Real Madrid in 2014. He’s also one of only two managers to have won three European Cup titles, alongside legendary Liverpool coach Bob Paisely.

But last night, Carlo Ancelotti entered the record books with yet another landmark.

Bayern Munich, his seventh Champions League team

Upon coaching new side Bayern Munich in the Champions League for the very first time on Tuesday night, the Italian became the first coach ever to manage seven teams in the competition.
