Atlético's Yannick Carrasco was the hero of the night for Atlético Madrid, scoring the only goal as they beat Bayern Munich 1-0 at the Calderón in their Champions League Group D match.

And the Atleti player admitted to a bit of luck in his strike from distance that beat Neuer and went in off the base of the post.
"I was a little bit lucky. Last season they always hit the post and went wide, but tonight it went in".

Carrasco also said it had been important to "beat Bayern at home" and said the team had worked extremely hard.
"We're delighted to have picked up the three points", he said, while admitting his side had struggled somewhat in the second half as Bayern looked for an equaliser. "But the main thing is they didn't score", he concluded.
