Zidane's Real Madrid in repeat of LaLiga start under Benítez
Real's third straight league draw means they have the same record after seven games as this time last year, with Rafa Benítez at the helm.
Real Madrid's home draw with Eibar on Sunday saw Los Blancos surrender top spot in LaLiga - and means they have the same league record as under Rafa Benítez at the same stage last season.
On 15 points after third league draw in a row
Real's 1-1 stalemate with the Basques was the third straight LaLiga game in which they've had to settle for a share of the spoils - the fourth in all competitions - and leaves them on 15 points, trailing Atlético Madrid on goal difference.
Zinedine Zidane's men had begun with LaLiga victories over Real Sociedad, Celta Vigo, Osasuna and Espanyol, but were held by Villarreal and Las Palmas in weeks 5 and 6 before being frustrated by Eibar.
A near carbon copy of Benítez start
And just as Zidane has in 2016/17, Benítez - replaced by the Frenchman in January after just seven months in charge - led Real to four triumphs and three draws from their first seven top-flight fixtures.
After wins over Real Betis, Espanyol, Granada and Athletic Club and draws with Sporting Gijón, Málaga and Atlético, Benítez's team had scored just one less than Zidane's side have this term - and had conceded five fewer.
