Bayern's Arturo Vidal critical of Ballon d'Or voting process
The player from the giants of the Bundesliga made France Football's 30-man shortlist however said that "it's always for those that have the most marketing".

Arturo Vidal was one of eight South Americans - the only Chilean - to the nominated for France Football's Ballon d'Or. The Bayern Munich midfielder was very appreciative to make the list but in a conversation with radio programme Cooperativa stated that he didn't agree with the criteria for the process.

"The prize is always for attackers. Players with more marketing win these things. If if was for achievements, the conditions would be different," he said, questioning the parameters.
Is Vidal a serious Ballon d'Or contender?
"This year has been incredible for me and I only missed out on the Champions League," he continued, referring to success for league and cup success domestically with Bayern and the Copa America victory with his country in the summer.
