Three hours before Manchester City play Barcelona in Group C in the Champions League (kick off at 20:45 CET) the Etihad Stadium was evacuated after a fire alarm went off accidentally.

The news quickly hit Twitter and the other social networks, where videos could be seen of the staff, journalists and the few fans who had turned up (very) early to the game, leaving the ground orderly, with no apparent disturbances. Those posting from the ground said they had no idea at that point why the stadium was being evacuated.
Accidental fire alarm the Etihad culprit
According to a Manchester City spokesperson, a fire alarm went off accidentally, leading to the evacuation protocol being triggered. A few minutes later the fans were allowed back into the ground.
