The French striker was unable to train on Saturday after suffering the injury in Warsaw on Wednesday and his absence from the squad will now open the doors for Álvaro Morata to make a start at the Bernabéu. Morata has played in all 16 of Madrid’s games so far this season but only started seven.

Modric back in the squad

The good news for Los Blancos is that Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric also make the squad. The Portuguese missed training on Friday but will not have any problems in facing Leganés. The Croatian meanwhile has made a full recovery from the knee injury that kept him out for the last few weeks and he could make a comeback appearance on Sunday.

Sergio Ramos, Casemiro and Pepe however are still not ready to return and continue in their recuperations.
