The two men took advantage of the international break to meet up for dinner in the Spanish capital with Costa later posting a photograph on his Instagram account with the caption: "Great reunion, and great memories".
Return on the cards?
The meeting is bound to spark rumours of a possible return to Atleti for Costa. The Rojiblancos were interested in recovering the striker over the summer but were rebuffed by Chelsea.
