Real Madrid and Barcelona squads get 'The Simpsons' treatment
Argentinian artist and confessed fanatic of the iconic animated sitcom Emiliano Sansolini has imagined what some of the world's best footballer would look like as Simpsons characters.
The Simpsons creators are no strangers to featuring famous footballers in their evergreen animated sitcom: Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and David Beckham (to name but a few) have all appeared in the famous fictional town of Springfield over the years.
Now artist Emiliano Sansolini has imagined what ALL the players of the world’s best football sides would look like ‘Simpsonified’, and has produced it to spectacular effect.
Footballers 'Simpsonified'
The Argentinian, who put the drawings together for an experimental project, describes himself as a fanatic of the iconic American show and says he wanted to combine his Simpsons passion with one of his other great loves: football.
“It’s something that I do constantly,” said Sansolini of his Simpsons drawings. “I’ve always been a fanatic of the show, so I decided to draw the best footballers in the characteristic yellow style.”
