Why Cristiano Ronaldo is reluctant to wear black boots

Max Blau, Nike Football Footwear vice president revealed some of Real Madrid player and Nike athlete Cristiano Ronaldo's superstitions.

He admitted that the Madrid No. 7 shies away from wearing black football boots adding: "Every player has their favourite colour of boot. It's been proven psychologically that when you wear an item of sportswear that you feel positive about then it does help with performance. Cristiano doesn't like using black football boots as he feels slower wearing this colour", admitted Blau.
The VP of Nike Football Footwear added, "Cristiano is the first person to tell us on what areas we can improve on and is always looking to upgrade on the status quo and this is great for us too as it keeps us on our toes to search for improvement too"
