Jorge Mendes reveals €300m Chinese offer for Cristiano Ronaldo

The agent of Cristiano Ronaldo, Jorge Mendes, has revealed to Sky Sports Italia that Real Madrid have received an offer from an unnamed Chinese football club of €300m.
"From China they’ve offered €300 million to Real Madrid and more than €100m per year to the player [Ronaldo],” Mendes said on Thurdsay. “But money is not everything; the Spanish club is his life."

The revelation comes after former Manchester United and Manchester City striker Carlos Tévez signed for Shanghai Shenhua in the latest big-money Chinese deal, reportedly making him the world's best-paid footballer.
The €100m salary reportedly offered to Ronaldo would dwarf the €42m per year fee that Tevez will earn at Shanghai, while if Real Madrid decided to accept the offer from China, the €300m transfer would smash the world-record set by Man United's €105m signing of Paul Pogba in the summer.
