A group of Atlético Madrid players came together on Saturday evening to see in the New Year - and wave goodbye to 2016 by having a go at one of the chief social-media crazes to have emerged over the past 12 months.

Players post pics - and 'Mannequin Challenge' video
Diego Godín, Antoine Griezmann, Kevin Gameiro, José María Giménez, Ángel Correa and Nico Gaitán offered evidence of their off-field rapport by enjoying New Year's Eve in each other's company, with the six also joined by family and friends.
Godín, Correa and Gaitán tweeted photos of the occasion - but Griezmann went one better, posting a video of the gathering's attempt at a 'Mannequin Challenge'.
