Real Sociedad coach Eusebio put a brave face on as he spoke about the timing of tomorrow's Copa del Rey tie against Barcelona which clashes with the biggest day of the year for residents in San Sebastián.

Going for it

All out for victory: "We're very happy with how things have been going for us, and we are very hopeful about doing well in this Cup tie. Our intention is to make the the semi-final - we are motivated and we are really going to go for it".

Vela boost

Carlos Vela: "Carlos is feeling well and training is going according to plan so we are optimisitc that he will be back with us tomorrow".

Kick-off time: "We have tried to find a solution and better conditions for us - the club has been working hard to change the timing, but outside of that, my job as the coach is to work under the circumstances which exist, we have to prepare for the game because we will need to be strong because we want to get through the tie".

First leg

Getting a good advantage "Our plan is to put in a good performance and gain a good result knowing that we have another leg of the tie next week at Camp Nou. All we are thinking about is doing our job well".

The Tamborrada: "We are annoyed that the match has been organized for a time which coincides with the most important day in the calendar for everyone in San Sebastián but we have to do our job so that we can give our people some joy and do that, we will need to make a huge effort. We will be giving everything we have got out on the pitch to ensure that it's a great party for our people".

Complaining about the designated kick-off time "It shouldn't have to be that way, all clubs deserve maximum respect and the competition should be honest and fair".

Gratitude

No resentment for Barça: "I'd like to eliminate that word from my life - resentment, because the only person who it damages, is me. I lived many great moments there and I am grateful to Barça for everything I was able to give them and what they gave me. I am looking ahead and now I only defend one set of colours - the colours of La Real".

Barcelona: "They have a gvery clearly defined idea about their game. And they have great players, who always try to dominate their games. They always take the initiative – and when they can't do that, they can still create a lot of danger on the break. They are a very strong, complete team but as always, we are only focusing on what we plan to do".
