No sanctions by anti-violence committee for Ramos insults
The committee will not propose sanction for the insults Sergio Ramos received during the Copa del Rey game against Sevilla as it is too hard to identify one or some of the fans carrying out the insults.
The committee for anti-violence has not proposed sanctions for the insults Sergio Ramos had to endure during Real Madrid's return leg against Sevilla in the Copa del Rey last 16 clash. The reason being that they can not identify those issuing the insults on an individual basis. Thus, the decision on whether or not to sanction Sevilla's fans lies in the hands of the competition itself.
Fines and sanctions
The outcome of the meeting today by the anti-violence committee only mentioned the Real Madrid - Sevilla clash twice in total.
1. - A fine of €600 and a stadium ban for three months was issued to one supporter who insulted the officials during the game on January 12th.
2. - A fine of €600 to a fan who consumed narcotics during the game on the January 12th.
LaLiga also reported the facts to the competition committee, who will now have to decide whether or not to close that section of the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan or to issue a fine. In LaLiga's report, they explained the chants being sung about Ramos' mother, which were reportedly sung five times during the game. On another occasion the fans sang another song about Ramos to the effect of "Ramos, die".
