REAL SOCIEDAD 0-1 BARCELONA
Illarra slams ref for not issuing "stonewall booking" to Messi
Real Sociedad's midfieder complained that referee José Luis González González should have booked the Argentinean for time-wasting in the second half.
Asier Illarramendi spoke after this evening's 0-1 Copa del Rey defeat to Barcelona at Anoeta and waded into match official José Luis González González who he says let Leo Messi off the hook, for not showing the Argentinean a second yellow card for feigning to take a free-kick late in the second half, which he felt was deliberate time-wasting.
The game: "It wasn't to be but we put in a good game, and played with intensity. They didn't push us back to much and we played well when we didn't have the ball. In the end it was decided from the penalty spot. We are not down and out and we are not going to give in yet".
Problematic refereeing decisions: "Zurutuza wasn't offside and Messi, in that free-kick... that's a clear yellow card... but anyway, we'll keep going forward".
Otra vez lo mismo de siempre! Otra vez...
