Real Madrid have confirmed the extent of the injuries picked up Marcelo and Luka Modric in Saturday's LaLiga win over Málaga.

Marcelo out for a month, Modric for a week

The duo both underwent tests on Monday morning, with Los Blancos announcing that Marcelo has a "grade 2 muscle injury in his left hamstring".

A scan on the groin issue suffered by Modric, meanwhile, has revealed that the Croat has a "strain in his right adductor".

Copa del Rey: Quarter-final second leg against Celta (25 January) and, if Real qualify, both legs of the semi-finals (1 and 8 February). LaLiga: Real Sociedad (29 January), Celta Vigo (5 February), Osasuna (11 February), Espanyol (18 February) and Valencia (22 February). Champions League: Last-16 first leg against Napoli (15 February).
