2017 January transfer window: latest news

22:45 | Ligue 1 side Marseille have announced the signing of 35-year-old left-back Patrice Evra from Juventus, with the Frenchman penning an 18-month deal.

21:50 | Villarreal midfielder Alfred N'Diaye is understood to be close to joining Málaga on a loan deal.

19:55 | Osasuna's fellow LaLiga relegation strugglers, Sporting Gijón, have confirmed the loan signing of Athletic Club midfielder Mikel Vesga until the end of the season.

19:50 | Osasuna have announced that they have re-signed defender Nikola Vujadinovic after the Montengrin's departure from Chinese side Beijing BG.

18:40 | Former Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra is very close to swapping Juventus for Olympique Marseille...

17:13 | A transfer that doesn't look likely this window has been getting some attention with Dortmund CEO saying, "we were willing to negotiate for Aubameyang".

16:04 | Done deal: Premier League side Watford have added another Hornet to their nest as Mauro Zárate joins from Seria A club Fiorentina on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

15:27 | Wolfsburg's Daniel Caligiuri looks like he's off to Gelsenkirchen to join Schalke 04 in a deal of around 2.5 million euros.

14:40 | More fuel being added to yesterday's chat in Portugal. A Bola is reporting that Liverpool are in negotiations with Sporting Lisbon over their defensive midfielder William Carvalho.

14:00 | There could be some movement between China and the Premier League before the window closes. Reports in China suggest that Fabio Cannavaro is keen on bringing Islam Slimani to Tianjin Quanjian, while Luiz Felipe Scolari has left Jackson Martínez out of his AFC Champions League squad. Leicester are said to be considering a move for the former Atlético man to replace the Algeria international.

13:15 | We have a done deal! And it's a juicy one: PSG have won the race to sign Benfica star Gonçalo Guedes. The 20-year-old winger has a couple of caps for Portugal and is one of the brightest attacking talents in Europe.

12:16 | Decision time for AC Milan's M'Baye Niang. His club have agreed a deal with Watford - loan and £13m option to buy

12:02 | Hull have accepted an offer from Burnley of around 10 million pounds for Scottish midfielder Robert Snodgrass.

11:48 | Barça fans had been flirting with the idea of seeing Brazilian magician, Phil Coutinho, strut his stuff at the Camp Nou. After signing a five-year contract extension with Liverpool it looks like it'll only happen on Champions League visits.

09:30 | Apparently Sergio Araujo has been loaned by Las Palmas to AEK Athens for the rest of the season, which might finally apply the requisite dose of Mr Muscle to unblock Jesé's return to Gran Canaria from PSG.

09:00 | Reports abound this chilly January morning that Pepe might be about to join the China gold rush with a move to join his former coach Manuel Pellegrini at Hebei China Fortune, where the Portugal defender will make a large one: a cool 15 million euros a year is on offer for the 33-year-old.
