Marcelo and James Rodríguez back training after recent injuries
Some badly needed good news for Zidane as the Colombian and Brazilian have resumed training but will not feature in the game against Real Sociedad.
After three defeats in four games, there is finally some positive news for Zinedine Zidane in that James and Marcelo have recovered from their respective recent injuries and have resumed training at Valdebebas.
Miraculous Marcelo
Both players featured in this morning's session at Valdebebas but trained separately from the squad that will be involved in tomorrow's match. James has been out of action since January 7 and Marcelo has recovered satisfactorily from his "grade II" hamstring tear after leaving the field during last week's LaLiga home game against Málaga, despite initial medical reports suggesting he would be sidelined for 3/4 weeks.
Ready for Vigo?
Neither player will feature in tomorrow's league game as Real Sociedad visit the Santiago Bernabeu (kick-off 20:45) but may be match fit for the away game to Celta on Sunday February 5th.
French international Varane trained normally and will play some role in shoring up the defence against Real Sociedad. Youth player Álvaro Tejero also participated in the session with the first team and Zidane is anxious to have the player gain experience with the 20 year old impressing the French coach.
