It will be the eighth time that Skomina has taken charge of a match involving Los Blancos in Europe's elite club competition, with his most recent assignment coming in the second leg of last season's semi-final against Manchester City.
Five victories, two losses for Madrid with Skomina
The 40-year-old has overseen at least one Real fixture in each of the last four Champions League campaigns, with his seven games so far seeing five wins and two defeats for the current holders.
