Benzema to Paris, Cavani to Madrid?
Karim Benzema's days at Real Madrid could be numbered. According to a report in the Spanish media, club president Florentino Pérez has met Paris Saint-Germain chief Nasser Al Khelaifi over a potential striker swap: Benzema for Edinson Cavani.
Pérez and Al Khelaifi have developed an excellent working rapport, agreeing a non-aggression pact a couple of years ago ensuring that any transfer movement between the two clubs would take place with absolute bilateral approval - and, claims Bernabéu Digital, this is a deal that both are up for.
Benzema-Cavani swap could come in summer
The exchange could happen at the end of the season, says BD. Benzema's relationship with the Real fans has been particularly tense in recent times, with supporters losing patience with his inconsistent displays this term. What's more, Cavani is a player who has long been on the LaLiga leaders' radar.
