Bayer Leverkusen - Atletico Madrid team news: No Oblak
Jan Oblak has been named among the subs tonight for Atletico Madrid having missed almost three months with a shoulder injury.
Bayer Leverkusen and Atletico Madrid were faced with injury worries ahead of their last 16 Champions League clash on Tuesday night at the BayArena. Atletico added Jan Oblak to their squad list for the first time in almost three months after a serious shoulder injury while Roger Schmidt had to make do without Jonathan Tah, who was ruled out with a thigh injury.
Bayer Leverkusen
Roger Schmidt has gone with a centre back pairing of Dragovic and Toprak as Jonathan Tah is injured and Tin Jedvaj has been left out. Meanwhile, Chicharito leads the line up front. Charles Aránguiz starts in place of the injured Lars Bender. Meanwhile 17-year-old Havertz makes his first start in the Champions League.
Bayer Leverkusen XI: Leno, Heinrichs, Dragovic, Toprak, Wendell, Bellarabi, Aranguiz, Kampl, Brandt, Havertz, Chicharito.
Atletico Madrid
Diego Simeone has opted for Miguel Angel Moya in goals as Jan Oblak is obviously either rusty or not yet ready to play 90 minutes in such a high-risk game. Kevin Gameiro gets the nod ahead of Fernando Torres after his lightening quick hat-trick at the weekend and Lucas Hernandez is named on the bench after appearing in court earlier today in Madrid.
Atletico Madrid XI: Moya, Vrsalko, Savic, Gimenez, Filipe Luis, Gabi, Saul, Koke, Carrasco, Griezmann, Gameiro.
