Barcelona first goal given through goal line technology
Barcelona striker Suárez opened the scoring with his head after three minutes of the Champions League last-16 second leg match against PSG.
Goal line technology has shown that Luis Suarez' early headed goal for Barcelona comfortably crossed the line. Trapp's indecision in goal for PSG presented Suarez' with an opportunity in the six yard box. The Uruguayan needed no second invitation in the third minute, and nodded the ball beyond the desperate 'keeper. Munier scooped the ball out with an outstretched leg, but it was not enough. The referee pointed to the centre circle, and Barça had their dream start.
Cauldron-like atmosphere at Camp Nou
The teams came out to an intense atmosphere in Barcelona, the din of the home support supplemented by 5000 travelling Parisians. The home team set off from the blocks at a rip-roaring pace, and opened the scoring through Suarez after just three minutes.
Barcelona take a 2-0 lead in to the break
A shambolic display of indecision by Marquinhos led Kurzawa to put the ball in to his own net shortly before half time, giving Barça a great platform for the second half, and things looked perfectly set up when Messi converted a penalty after five minutes of the second period. However Cavani pulled one back for PSG after 62', leaving Barcelona needing three.
