Report: Agreement between Atletico and Lacazette pending TAS appeal
According to El Partidazo de Cope, the Lyon striker will arrive after agreeing with Miguel Angel Gil to sign with the LaLiga clubpending the side's transfer ban appeal.
Atletico Madrid continue to keep an eye out for the future and are studying the possibility of signing players despite the fact that they have a transfer ban that would prevent them from doing so in the summer market. The club has an agreement with FIFA that they would not ask for a halt to the ban in January, which they didn't and could be free to sign players after that, or so the club hopes.
Lacazette agreement
The idea is that Atletico will be sanctioned for just one window and have their ban reduced just like Real Madrid. Pending that appeal, Atletico have reached an agreement with Alexandre Lacazette for next season according to El Partidazo on Cope. The Lyon striker met with Miguel Angel Gil at his home along with his agent and another agent, after receiveing an excellent reference from Antoine Griezmann.
Lyon will not even listen to any offer below €40 million for the Frenchman who has 29 goals in 35 games this season. He is 25 and has built a good name for himself on the back of his explosive speed and power.
