Tiago back in Atlético squad list after 4 months on the sidelines
The Portuguese midfielder was taken off during the Villarreal game on 12 December and hasn't played since. With Gabi and Koke out he could be given minutes.
Diego Simeone continues to recover players just in time for the final stretch of the campaign. Nico Gaitán returned for Wednesday's Champions League quarter final meeting with Leicester and today, the coach included Tiago in his list for tomorrow's game against Osasuna. Kevin Gameiro also returned to train with the group but has been excluded from the list.
Tiago returns after four months out
Tiago, one of three of the Rojiblancos' long-term casualties, hasn't seen a single of minute of first team action since December, when he started the Week 15 game against Villarreal at El Madrigal in which he lasted just 30 minutes due to pains in his knee.
Atlético's casualty room clearing out
With Tiago available once again, it leaves just Augusto and Vrsaljko in the casualty room. The Croatian is recovering from a partial ACL tear in his left knee which he suffered in the Sevilla game on 19 March. Augusto Fernández is now working out in the fresh air and progressing well from the ACL tear he sustained against Deportivo back in September. It remains to be seen whether Simeone will give the Argentinean a few minutes' playing time before the season ends.
Atlético squad:
