Mini Estadi sold out for Barça Femení's historic PSG clash
All 15,000 seats have been sold as Barça take on PSG in the Champions League (Sat, 18:00) as the first Spanish side ever to have reached the last four.
Barcelona Femení will make history on Saturday as the first Spanish club to play in the last four of the Champions League. For the occasion, the side will make their first appearance at Barcelona’s Mini Estadi, where Barcelona B play their home matches, instead of the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, which has a capacity of 1,400.
Mini Estadi full for PSG game
The Mini Estadi, which holds15,000 spectators, has sold out for the match against PSG in a record-breaking response to the decision to hold the game there. Other clubs including Atlético Madrid and Athletic have this season hosted games involving their women’s teams in the Calderón and San Mamés.
Barcelona coach Xavi Llorens is hoping the atmosphere will spur his side on to a solid first leg result in the knowledge that French giants PSG are a tricky prospect in Paris. Among the visiting side’s players are two Spain international, Irene Paredes and Vero Boquete.
