The brother-in-law of Bayern Munich footballer Arturo Vidal has been murdered at the wheel of his car in the Chilean capital of Santiago.
Ignacio Neira Guerra, the husband of the Chile international's sister, Ámbar Vidal Pardo, died on Saturday afternoon after being shot in the head.
Shots fired from another car
Reports in the Chilean media say around six shots were fired from another vehicle on the Avenida Departamental, a street located in the south of the city.
The victim was then taken to the Hospital Barros Luco, where he was pronounced dead following his arrival.
Motives of shooting remain unclear
Chilean law enforcement authorities are investigating the motives of the killing, which took place in broad daylight, with no arrests so far made.
