Mbappé keeps options open
The player’s uncle, Pierre Mbappé, remained coy on the future of his nephew, in comments picked up by Italian website Calciomercato.
‘Every week Kylian watches matches involving Juve, Chelsea, Madrid, Barcelona… Is it a possibility in the future? Yes. Juventus, the two Manchester clubs, Real Madrid, PSG, Barcelona… In the future we’ll evaluate everything, but you never know in football.
‘At the moment my nephew is playing in a great team. When the moment comes, we’ll decide as a family’, he added.
Cristiano among idols
As for the 18 year old’s rolemodels, Pierre Mbappé mentioned icons from Madrid, Barça, and Juventus: Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, and David Trezeguet.
‘He also likes Zidane, and as for Italians, Inzaghi and Buffon.’
Mbappé, who has scored 14 goals in Ligue 1 this season, is likely to feature in Monaco's starting eleven for the Champions League semi-final against Juventus on Wednesday.
