Gareth Bale has said he is convinced that Real Madrid will go on to become the first club since Milan in 1989-90 to retain Europe’s highest club honour and discussed his return from injury in an interview with Nissan.

Fitness: “This season has been a bit more difficult, I’ve had an ankle injury. The season started well but then I was out for three months. Now I’m working to get back to my best physically and to recover from that injury. We have to finish the season strongly to try and win the league and the Champions League.”
