The 24-year-old is enjoying life on the Canary Islands, where he grew up, but also the style of football at his club: “Since I was a youngster, the philosophy at Las Palmas has always been to play, to control and the ball and the match… to make the opposition dizzy.”

He believes that despite Las Palmas’ slump in form since Quique Setién announced that he will depart at the end of the season, thay can threaten Barça.

“By applying pressure high up the pitch we can make them feel uncomfortable… we’ll be able to inflict damage on them by doing this.”
