Yussuf Poulsen reveals Leipzig interest in Betis' Riza Durmisi
The full-back claims the German outfit are keen to bring in the 23-year-old Denmark international who insists he's happy where he is.
RB Leipzig are interested in Betis left-back Riza Durmisi, according to Yussuf Poulsen, who is on the books at the German outfit. Poulsen told local daily Politiken. "Our Director of Sport Ralf Rangnick and Leipzig's scouting department are following several foreign players and whenever they ask me about Danish players, I tell them how they are playing. They know that Durmisi could fit in perfectly in our team and [Ajax forward, Kasper] Dolberg (delantero del Ajax) is a great talent".
Betis hoping to raise cash by offloading players this summer
Betis need to sell players this summer if they are to match last summer's spending budget. The club has debts to service, redundancy payments to fulfill as well as their commitments to the Gol Sur modernization of the south stand at the Benito Villamarín. Riza Durmisi and Dani Ceballos are the players who can bring in the most revenue this summer. However, it seems that Durmisi is not thinking about a change of scenary just yet.
Durmisi says he is happy at Betis
Durmisi also spoke about recently-appointed Betis coach Quique Setién: "I won't be the first time I have experienced a change of coach so I think I'll be able to handle it ok. Setién joins from Las Palmas, where they play some very nice football, so I think will suit me. His teams play real football, building their game from the back", he concluded.
