The Belgian FA have confirmed that Eden Hazard suffered a broken ankle while on duty with his country and could miss up to two months on the sideline with the injury.

The 26-year-old is coming off the back of an excellent year in which his side won the Premier League with the winger playing a vital role in their march to victory.

He has been linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent weeks and months and said recently that he would consider a move to the Spanish capital.

“Of course I would consider it if Madrid made an offer,” Hazard said. “I am keen to win trophies. It would be great to win the Champions League. But Chelsea’s goal is to win the Champions League as well. Honestly I do not know what will happen."

He admitted he was happy at Chelsea but also added that “you never know what will happen."
