Alavés sign Chinese teenage striker Yiming Yan
The 19-year-old, who spent a season with Atlético de Madrid's youth team, will play for the blanquiazules B team but will train with the first team squad.
Alavés' project for the new season is taking shape under new coach, Luis Zubeldía. The club has started bring in reinforcements for the first team and reserves - the latter are aiming to gain promotion to the Segunda Division B and face Ontinyent in the Play-Offs on Sunday. The club announced today that they have signed teenage striker Yiming Yan - "a young centre-forward who has experience in the Spanish game".
Yiming Yan, a youth international for China
Yiming, who was born in Beijing on 4 February 1998, spent the 2013-14 season in Atlético de Madrid's youth academy. The forward, who can play as an out-and-out striker or as a winger, has represented China at Under-19 level and hopes to make the squad list for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
