Girona and Málaga seek Brahim Díaz loan from Manchester City

The Malaga-born forward was working with the children at the Media Base Campus in El Montanyà but is hoping to do the pre-season under Pep Guardiola's orders.

Girona feel they are guaranteed to be loaned players from Manchester City next season and one of the Rojiblancos' chief petitions has been for Brahim Díaz. It will be Pep Guardiola who has the final say on whether to loan the 17-year-old because the City boss had planned to include Brahim in his first team squad for the pre-season which will included a tour of the United States and friendlies against Manchester United, Spurs and Real Madrid. Brahim will get a new opportunity to show what he is capable of and is only centred on furthering his career at City.

Brahim, who is back in Spain and was teaching children at the Media Base Campus in El Montanyà today, is also wanted by his hometown club Málaga who managed to keep hold of him until he joined City in 2013. The talented teenager is rated for his close dribbling skills, shot and reading of the game; he is comfortable playing on either wing or as a deep-lying striker. Brahim says his idol is Leo Messi, but he is also a big fan of players like David Silva, Andrés Iniesta and Isco. He has done well as a youth international with Spain and is already a regular with the Under-19s.
