Archibald, Hughes, Lineker... Duggan
The 25 year old striker joins the Catalan giants moving from Manchester City on a two year contract.
Toni Duggan has joined FC Barcelona on a two year deal moving from Manchester City to the LaLiga Iberdrola side by making the move to the Catalan capital, follows the footsteps of the likes of Steve Archibald, Mark Hughes and Gary Lineker, British Isles players who have graced the Camp Nou turf over the years.
The 25 year old Liverpool born Duggan played for Everton in her formative years before moving to City, playing for the Sky Blues for the past four campaigns, securing the league title in 2016.
The player is preparing with her national squad ahead of the 2017 Women's European Championship which commences in Holland on July 16 with England looking to improve on their third place finish in the Canada 2015 World Cup.
"My new coach Fran Sanchez has told me that their ambition is to win the Women's Champions League and the club have made that very clear with their signings over the years.
"I've had a lot of success in England and I've really enjoyed my time with Manchester City but I wanted to challenge myself even further by playing abroad. I'm also looking forward to learning Spanish and living in the city."
