Former Parma player confesses to murdering his mother and sister
Ghanian Solomon Nyantakyi confessed on Wednesday to the murders of his Mother and sister after making his way to Milan train station.
On Wednesday, former Parma youth team player, Ghanaian Solomon Nyantakyi, confessed to killing his 43-year-old mother and 11-year-old sister after being stopped at Milan train station. Nyantakyi fled on Tuesday night after killing his mother, Nfum Patience, and younger sister, Magdalene Nyantakyi, at his home in Parma. The police caught up with him in Milan and revealed the operation to the media.
The Ghanaian showed plenty of promise during his time with Parma and was called on several occasions to Parma's first team during the 2014-15 season under Roberto Donadini's watch.
However, the promise dissipated and he was demoted to smaller Italian teams in the more recent past such as Tuttocuoio and Imolese. The initial reports suggest that the 21-year-old, who suffered from depression, killed his family with a blunt object, possibly a knife.
It was Solomon's older brother, Raymond, who first appeared on the scene and found the bodies of his mother and sister late on Tuesday night in the area close to Parma's train station.
Nyantakyi remained at large for up to 12 hours but was tracked down with the help of security cameras at Milan's north train station.
