Real Sociedad president Aperribay: "We'd rather have Iñigo Martínez than 30 million euros"
Real Sociedad presidente Jokin Aperribay insists that no one from Real Madrid has enquired about Álvaro Odriozola nor is he expected them to.
Adnan Januzaj was unveiled by Real Sociedad today and club president Jokin Aperribay spoke about other issues at the club as he attended the media.
Real Sociedad deny having received offers for Iñigo Martínez
Reports that Inter Milan are willing to pay Iñigo Martínez's buy-out clause - 30 million euros: "We don't know anything about that; there are rumours doing the rounds but La Real have not received an offer; I don't think Iñigo has received an offer either. Whether it happens or not, I have no idea. Until we get a phone call and a formal offer is presented, everything else is just hearsay".
Have you spoken to Iñigo? "There's no need to because we haven't received any offers. Could it happen? Yes, of course. Other clubs such as Real Madrid or Barça could come for him. But we would sooner have Iñigo with us than 30 million euros, and we have told that to his people. I have spoken to Iñigo a little, but more with his family and they have told me that he is delighted at Real - he's happy here and doesn't want to join the first club that comes along to sign him. If he has an offer, he would have told us and he hasn't".
Odriozola staying at Real Sociedad, says president
Álvaro Odriozola has impressed Zidane: "There's no point in entering into the debate. If Real Madrid want Odriozola they would have called us, and I can't see that happening; it's a suggestion so preposterous that it doesn't warrant my comments. It's news to me - this is the first time I have heard about it. I was with his agent yesterday and he didn't say a word about it. He only recently renewed with us and he's delighted to be playing at Real Sociedad, and we have a lot of high hopes for Odriozola".
