REAL MADRID
Dani Ceballos: "I couldn't say no to Real Madrid"
The Utrera born player was presented at the Bernabeu and claimed: "I'ts been a boyhood dream to play here. I'll give my all for the club".
Dani Ceballos has been unveiled as a new Real Madrid player after signing his contract in the Santiago Bernabéu offices this afternoon in a deal that will see him in the Spanish capital through to 2023. The former Real Betis player will wear the No. 24 shirt at his new club and is the third signing this summer following the footsteps of Vallejo and Theo Hernández.
Florentino
Club president Florentino Pérez was the first to speak at the presentation after a short "best of Ceballos" video was aired. The Madrid president claimed that "Ceballos is a player with a great future and was recently named best player at the Euro U-21 competition. Dear Dani your firm conviction to wear the famous white shirt is key to you being here with us today. Your determination to play here despite much interest from other suitors is something that makes us proud and is something that Real Madrid supporters will never forget. Today, your dream starts and I'm convinced you will work hard and triumph. Well done and welcome to Real Madrid”.
Boyhood dream
A visibly nervous Ceballos then took centre stage and posed for photos with the No.24 shirt. He claimed:“I'd like to thank the president for depositing faith in me and when I knew the club we're interested in signing me there was no way I could say no. It has always been a dream of mine to play for Madrid and I'd like to extend my thanks to my family for their continued support. I'm here to work hard and make history with this club. ¡Hala Madrid!”.
