Cristiano Ronaldo trains alone, away from Valdebebas
The Portuguese player also uploaded a picture to Instagram accompanied by the caption: "My brilliance makes people uncomfortable".
Cristiano Ronaldo is yet to pull on the white shirt of Real Madrid. What he did do yesterday was make full use of social media.
Ronaldo was expected to train at Valdebebas
The Portuguese winger, who has been on holiday since his national side were eliminated from the Confederations Cup at the semi-final stage on 28th June. Ronaldo was expected to return to Real Madrid's Valdebebas training complex on Tuesday, having declared before a judge on Monday, accused of tax evasion totalling €14.7m.
Yet a picture that Ronaldo uploaded to Instagram reveals that he was not at Valdebebas, but training on what appears to be a forest running track.It is unknown as to whether he trained in Madrid, or elsewhere. Given that the number 7 accomanied the picture with an emoticon of the Portuguese flag, it is possible that he has returned to his home country.

A few hours later, Ronaldo uploaded another photo, with a provocative caption aimed at his critics:
"My brilliance makes people uncomfortable. Insects only attack the lights that shine."
Ronaldo would like to play a part for Real Madrid in the European Super Cup against Manchester United, his former club, on 8th August. Yet he has still not returned to official training.
