Barça won't sanction Neymar transfer until PSG pay €222m
The Catalan club are yet to receive the Brazilian's release clause money, and will not give the green light to the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) until they do.
Barcelona will not sanction Neymar’s transfer to PSG until they receive the player’s €222m release clause. Until then, the Brazilian will not be able to play for his new club.
Barcelona have not received Neymar payment
Official sources within the Catalan club have confirmed to EFE that the bank has not yet received the €222m that PSG agreed to pay six days ago.
As such, Barcelona have advised PSG’s legal representatives that Neymar’s transfer will be delayed until they receive the payment.
Until the money is in the Blaugrana’s bank account, Barça will not give the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) the green light to send Neymar’s international transfer certificate.
Neymar could make PSG debut against Guingamp
The Brazilian winger, whose move to Paris shattered the world transfer record, did not make his debut in Ligue 1 against Amiens. It is expected that this matter will be resolved, and he will be eligible to face Guingamp in the second match of the season.
