Zidane confirms new contract extension: "I'm very happy here"
The Madrid coach says he is pleased that the club has shown faith in him: "The objectives are the same as always - to win everything possible".
Zinedine Zidane confirmed in this afternoon's pre-Spanish Supercup press conference the news which AS reported regarding his new three-year contract extension. "Yes, I'm happy about it but it doesn't mean anything. I could sign for 10 years, or 20, but I know where I am. Here, we live from day to day and I know that in a year's time I might not be here. There will never be any arguments between Madrid and myself”.
Madrid's objectives will never change says Zidane
Zidane later added: "I am very pleased that the club has shown such faith in me. We've worked hard but the objective are the same as always - to win everything possible. That is what this club has always been about. We know where we are and the really great thing about this is that we enjoy what we do. There will always be ups and downs but now is the moment for us to enjoy this to the full. We need to continue preparing well for our games, making a big effort and being united".
