Ex-Manchester United star Wes Brown joins Kerala Blasters
Another former-Premier League player, striker Dimitar Berbatov, is set for a move to Kerala United.
On Tuesday, the Indian Super League (ISL) side, Kerala Blasters, confirmed the signing of former Manchester United defender Wes Brown.
Brown, 37, was a free agent, after playing for Blackburn Rovers last season in the English Championship.
The Blasters are also in talks with the Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov. It is believed that a consensus is close to being reached.

Earlier today, Brown tweeted out his excitement over his move to India, and took advantage to congratulate India on its’ Independence day.
“Hello India,Happy Independence day!I'm coming soon to the exciting Indian Super League to play for Kerala Blasters.
“I can’t wait to play in front of one of the best fans in the world. Kerala, See you soon!,” posted Brown.
Reunion with Rene Meulensteen
Brown, and possibly Berbatov, will be joining a familiar face in India: Rene Meulensteen, former Manchester United’s first team coach under Sir Alex Ferguson mandate.
Meulensteen was appointed as Blasters’ head coach on July 14 after spending a season at the Israeli Premier League side Maccabi Haifa.
He spent six years as first team coach at Manchester United, where he helped Sir Alex Ferguson team to three Premier League Titles.
His arrival to the ISL signified that certain former Red Devils stars would touch down base at Kerala.
The Blasters have been finalists for two out of three seasons of the recently created league.
For this season, they have also announced the signings of Canadian forward Iain Hume, Serbian defender Nemanja Lakic-Pesic and Ghanaian midfielder Courage Pekuson.
