Reunion with Rene Meulensteen

Brown, and possibly Berbatov, will be joining a familiar face in India: Rene Meulensteen, former Manchester United’s first team coach under Sir Alex Ferguson mandate.

Meulensteen was appointed as Blasters’ head coach on July 14 after spending a season at the Israeli Premier League side Maccabi Haifa.

His arrival to the ISL signified that certain former Red Devils stars would touch down base at Kerala.

The Blasters have been finalists for two out of three seasons of the recently created league.

For this season, they have also announced the signings of Canadian forward Iain Hume, Serbian defender Nemanja Lakic-Pesic and Ghanaian midfielder Courage Pekuson.
