A minute's silence will be held before every game in the Spanish first and second divisions this weekend, the opening round of fixtures in the 2017/18 calender, as a mark of respect for the victims of the terror attacks in Barcelona and Cambrils.
LaLiga confirms minute's silence for Barcelona attack victims
LaLiga, in a statement, confirmed a minutes' silence will be held before every game in the opening weekend of fixtures in the LaLiga Santander and LaLiga 1|2|3 as a tribute to the dead and injured in the tragic events that took place in Catalonia on Thursday and Friday.
The Spanish Football Federation backed the move and called on all clubs, federal associations, the league and the referees committee to ensure the homage to the victims would be carried out in the best way possible.
