Better late than never

With a two-and-a-half hour delay, Ousmane Dembélé was unveiled as a Barcelona player, alongside club president Josep Maria Bartomeu. The cost of the deal to bring the Frenchman to Catalonia was confirmed by Bartomeu as 105 million euros with 40 million in add-ons - making him the most expensive player in Barcelona's history - and with a buyout clause of 400 million euros and a contract running until 2022.

Bartemeu's mixed reception

Dembélé will fill the number 11 shirt left behind by Neymar after the Brazilian's move to PSG in one of the summer's biggest stories. Bartomeu, whose presence was met with shouts of "Bartomeu resign" by the fans present, welcomed the Frenchman from Dortmund: "Welcome to our club and our city. We started monitoring Dembélé two or three years ago. As previously stated, the deal is worth 105 million euros with 40 million in add-ons. Good luck."

Dembélé also spoke at the unveiling: "I'm happy to be in Barcelona and I'd like to thank the club for bringing me here. I've come to win as many trophies as possible. My main objective is to settle in and win trophies.
