Atlético keeper Jan Oblak has moved to quash rumours of a transfer away from the Liga club before the window shuts by stating he will remain in Madrid for another season at least.

Oblak: "I am staying at Atlético"

Speaking to national daily Ekipa while on international duty with Slovenia, Oblak put the stoppers on links with a move to big-spending PSG after the Parisian side expressed interest in meeting his 100-million-euro buy-out clause earlier in the summer. “What I can say is that I will spend this season in Madrid,” Oblak said. “I am definitely going to be an Atlético player for another season, after that who knows. We’ll see. You never know what might happen. That’s what I can say for now, that I’m still an Atlético player, I’m satisfied and I hope to have a good season in Madrid.”

On the interest in him from other clubs, particularly PSG, Oblak elected to paint opaque strokes. “I can’t say anything about what has gone on this summer. I can’t say whether there was interest from other clubs or any negotiations or whatever. There’s only one thing that matters at the moment, what I just said: that I am staying at Atlético and for the moment that’s that.”
