Fenerbahçe want Vietto and Gaitán is offered around Istanbul
The transfer window remains open in Turkey, and Fenerbahçe have enquired about Vietto, while Nico Gaitán has been offered to four clubs in Istanbul
The transfer window has shut across most of Europe, and Atlético have managed to retain key players as they make the move across Madrid to the Wanda Metropolitano. Yet two members of Diego Simeone’s squad continue to generate interest: Luciano Vietto and Nico Gaitán.
Fenerbahçe keen on Vietto
The transfer window is open for Turkish clubs until September 8, and Fenerbahçe are looking to take advantage. According to media reports in Istanbul, the Süper Lig club are trying to sign Argentine striker Luciano Vietto. Fenerbahçe want another striker to complement Robin van Persie and Roberto Soldado.
The club have already made contact with Atlético’s intermediaries in Turkey in order to gauge Vietto’s demands. Fenerbahçe would prefer to take the player east on loan, yet according to Diario AS sources, Atlético Madrid are only willing to let Vietto leave on a permanent deal.
Gaitán offered to Galatasary, Besiktas, Fenerbahçe, Basaksehir
Vietto is not the only Atlético player whose name is floating around the Bosphorus. Diario AS can confirm that Nico Gaitán has been offered to the four clubs in Istanbul: Galatasaray, Besiktas, Fenerbahçe, and Basaksehir.
Given that Atlético have set an asking price of €15m, and taking in to account the winger’s wage demands, talks have not advanced.
The former-Benfica man was also offered to West Ham and Watford shortly before the Premier League transfer window closed.
