Real Madrid anxiously waiting Cristiano Ronaldo's return
Theo, Lucas and Zidane all alluded to their eagerness for the Portuguese striker to return to action after the 1-1 draw at home to Levante.
This season Real Madrid have an abundance of talented midfield player but observers have stated that selling both Alvaro Morata to Chelsea and Mariano to Lyon have left Zidane with limited attacking options. Real Madrid have scored 13 goals in their six official games this season with nine different players getting their name on the score sheet (plus a Pique own-goal) with the members of the BBC (Bale, Benzema and Cristiano) notching a goal apiece. Ironically the top scorer this season so far is Marco Asensio (4).
The Portuguese striker will be back in action on Wednesday as Real Madrid welcome Cypriot outfit APOEL Nicosia in the opening Group stage game of the 2017/18 Champions League. Real Madrid fans will still have another LaLiga game to sit out before they can see the marksman back in league action with the the away trip to face Real Sociedad next Sunday being the last match of his ban.
