Diego Costa living in Madrid until January deal with Atletico becomes reality
Diego Costa will not be going back to London and he has moved to Madrid in an effort to put Chelsea under pressure to sell him in January.
Diego Costa is not going back to Chelsea. On Tuesday, he arrived in Madrid with his family to watch Atletico play against Roma in the Champions League. He has assured Chelsea that he won't be returning to London and is planning on living in Madrid until January when he can make his return to Atletico official.
The latest move by Costa is another effort to put pressure on the Premier League club, who have refused to buckle to the striker's wishes to sell him to the LaLiga outfit.
Costa rejected an offer from Fenerbahce, which would have seen him net a cool €5 million a year, as his desired destination remains Atletico Madrid. Costa reportedly has an offer in place with Atletico and all that needs to be agreed is the deal between the two clubs. A deal was said to be close and while it never happened during the summer window, Costa remains resolute.
He has missed significant time due to his hold-out but continues to train on his own in an effort to be fit, if and when, Atletico can sign him.
