Costa begins Atlético training: debut countdown underway
Diego Costa posted a photo of himself sporting the Atlético badge once more as his bid to return to full fitness began in Madrid on Wednesday.
The countdown has now started for striker Diego Costa as he prepares to pull on the Atlético Madrid shirt again from January 2018. A day after his return to Atlético was confirmed, the Spain international began training under the orders of Los Rojiblancos' fitness coach, Óscar 'Profe' Ortega, on Wednesday.

"I'm not afraid about stepping back onto the scales - but I am afraid about 'Profe' Ortega's training sessions," Costa admitted on his arrival in Spain last week. He now wears the LaLiga club's badge with pride once more, and took to social media with a photo of his Atleti shorts as he began the process of returning to full fitness - after 103 days on holiday - at the Wanda Training Complex.
