Zidane prepares for the visit of Eibar without Keylor Navas or Raphael Varane
The Madrid coach is already without Bale, Kovacic, Carvajal, and Luca Zidane. Moha, the youth team goalkeeper, was back in training with the first team.
Zinedine Zidane led training at Valdebebas on Thursday as his Real Madrid side prepare to host Eibar on Sunday at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Navas and Varane train indoors at Valdebebas
The French coach was without goalkeeper Keylor Navas and centre-half Raphael Varane. According to the club, both trained in the indoor facilities and did not join the rest of the group.
Mateo Kovacic, Gareth Bale, and Dani Carvajal continue to recuperate from their respective injuries. Meanwhile, third-choice goalkeeper Luca Zidane trained alone on the turf before joining Under-19s ‘keeper Moha for a specialist session. Moha was on the bench for the trip to Getafe in LaLiga as the deputy to Kiko Casilla.
Madrid look to close gap on Barcelona
Real Madrid will face Eibar on Sunday 22 October at 20:45 (CEST) with the aim of closing the gap on Barcelona at the top of LaLiga. Ernesto Valverde’s team are five points ahead of Real Madrid, who sit in third position behind undefeated Valencia.
