The summer transfers of Sandro Ramírez and Roque Mesa to Premier League sides, Everton and Swansea City respectively are not working out as either would have hoped. Both players were key regulars for their former LaLiga sides (Malaga and Las Palmas) and their initial failure to adapt to their new surroundings is raising eye-brows amongst LaLiga observers.

On Atleti wanted list

The 22 year old ex-Malaga striker was high on Atlético Madrid's summer wanted list with his six million buy-out an attractive proposition for would-be suitors and the FIFA transfer ban imposed on the Madrid based side ultimately saw the move flounder. Following his 16 goals in 31 games in the Malaga shirt last season a move to the Liverpool based club was to be Sandro's destination.

Under Ronald Koeman at "The Toffees" the 22-year-old has struggled, playing just 500 minutes of first team football over 11 games with no goals from the Las Palmas born player. His last action in the famous blue shirt was on October 19 against Lyon in the Europa League and last Premier League action over a month ago where he featured for eight minutes in the game against Burnley. The future incumbent on the Everton bench may be instrumental in determining the players future.

Last season Roque Mesa's performances with Las Palmas made him one of the players of the 2016/17 LaLiga season, starting in 34 games for the Canary Islanders. Premier League outfit Swansea City swooped the midfielder in the summer market paying 12.5 million euro for his services. Things have not worked out as hoped in Wales with the deep-lying creative midfielder only securing 380 minutes playing team with the Swans over three Premier League and three Carabao Cup with his last first team action being on September 30th against West Ham United.
